Ozark Trail Tents
Ozark trail tents, created by the popular North Trail company, have been around for years. While they have been known for their quality tents, some claim they have been sliding in quality over the past several years. The most common statement heard around the campfire is “I really liked the first tent I bought, but it broke. Then, the second tent I purchased was not nearly as good.”
You can read reviews like this all over the internet. But is it really justified? We decided to take a deeper look into what Ozark Trail brand has been up to.
After checking several review sites, it seems that it’s Ozark Trail on the whole, but rather one tent in particular that draws negative feedback.
The Ozark Trail 4 Room Cabin Tent draws rave reviews from campers for its easy set up, dryness, and durability. Same goes for the three room tents. However, the two room dome tent has drawn venomous reviews from users. They cite the lack of water protection as a main concern, as well as the rain fly’s habit of flapping away in the wind. Lastly, a few people mentioned that the tent poles themselves have snapped within the first few outings.
Does this spell the end for Ozark Trail? Hardly.
Let’s face it; every company comes out with a lemon from time to time. Remember the third generation Ford Mustangs? How about Pepsi 1? In any industry, if something is high quality, few people discuss it. But if that same reputable company releases one below average product, the howls begin. As we’ve already seen, Ozark Trail tents still score very highly in quality for all tents besides the dreaded two room. Overall, you should still give them a look.
