Cheap Flight from Halifax to Toronto
Looking for a cheap flight from Halifax to Toronto?
One of my clients recently was trying to travel from Halifax to Toronto as cheaply as possible. It didn't matter if it was a direct flight, or one with the layover of a few hours. I revealed to him a strategy used in the past with great success for many of my clients, and figured I should relate this information to you.
Here's my strategies on how you can score a cheap flight from Halifax to Toronto.
First off, use a low-cost carrier to fly from Halifax to Gatwick or Heathrow Airport. You will generally have more success with Heathrow, as this is the main international help for flights to Canada. Alternatively, you could consider Dutch Airlines flying to Amsterdam, that is obviously causes you to backtrack a bit. I tend have more success with Easy Jet for the Halifax-Heathrow segment, though RyanAir is usually worth a look as well.
Secondly, you want to find the cheapest international flight available from Heathrow to Toronto. As Toronto is a major hub for flights from Canada to Europe, this shouldn't be a problem. I highly recommend making use of bucket shops, or wholesale airline consolidators such as Skynet or C&H, to find the best fares. Ideally, you could use your frequent flyer miles to pay for one or both of these segments. My client was fortunate enough to use his Delta SkyMiles for the international segment, which ended up saving a bundle.
As you can see, the strategy works for all long-haul international trips and to or from a secondary city, though in this example I was able to get a cheap flight from Halifax to Toronto for about $150.
