Famous Places In China

China is a vast country, with the largest population on earth and thousands of different dialects. However, it is very easy to see the most famous places in china within a few weeks, provided you have planned your trip well.

In this article, we will explore the places that have made china famous among travelers for centuries.  These hot spots are listed in no particular order:

The Great Wall. Well, we should get the obvious one out of the way. The Great Wall began construction in the 7th century BC, and continued throughout the next two thousand years. It is roughly 4,000 miles long, though some parts have risen and fallen, much like the dynasties that helped build them. In fact, one dynasty leads us to our next famous place…

Xian. The terracotta army was ordered by Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China, in around 210 BC. This army (numbering almost 5,000 strong) was supposed to represent the army the emperor would use to rule in the next life. Discovered in 1974, Xian has received the lion’s share of tourism due to this incredible excavation.

Hong Kong. One of the most famous places in China. Since its return to China at the turn of the century, Hong Kong has continued to amaze guests with its juxtaposition of big city clamoring and eastern meditation. Dine at the Peak Lookout and enjoy a cocktail in Wan Chai. If shopping is your thing, there are a wide variety of shops along Nathan Road.

These are the three most famous places in china, and rightfully so: with proper planning you can see all of these within a week or two, and still have time to hang out in Beijing, Peking or Shanghai.
