Disneyland Vacations Anaheim
Tips for great Disneyland vacations in Anaheim
In previous articles we've discussed Disneyland vacations and packages, noting how a package deal can help increase the overall value of your vacation. While that may be fine for some, others are more interested in a cheap vacation to Disneyland in Anaheim without the extra bells and whistles.
Here are some tips to help spare your bank account the shock of the Magic Kingdom (which is more expensive than London!):
Plan a siesta. The most crowded time of day is the afternoon. Get your kids up early and ride the most popular rides first. The Pirates of the Carribean, like all water rides, does not fill up until later in the day. Try and hit up these and other water rides before noon, then head back to your hotel for lunch. Alternatively, you can pack your own lunch in.
This is also a great time for a nap. Take a nap, and aim to reenter the park sometime after four in the afternoon. This affords you enough time to check out any attractions you you may have missed, before sitting back and enjoying the nightly fireworks display.
Consider camping. There are several camprgrounds/RV parks surrounding Anaheim, a few of which are close enough to watch the fireworks show. Keep in mind these are city campgrounds, meaning there are few trees, and more concrete than grass. However, many offer hot showers, dish rooms, and games for the kids to play (should they not be completely worn out by then!).
Purchase a meal plan. If you plan on spending a full day in Disneyland, a meal plan may be the way to. You pay a flat fee, and can eat and drink as much as you want throughout the day. Keep in mind you'll probably be riding roller coasters, so don't treat it as your own personal buffet!
Follow these tips and you'll be able to plan great Disneyland vacations in Anaheim.
