Considering chartering vs. renting. Many people who visit Bodrum are experienced yachtsman. However, if you are interested in learning about traditional Turkish cuisine, or the history of the surrounding area, you may be better off chartering a crew. On top of that, the Bodrum region is loaded with experienced crewman, all prepared to run a variety of mini cruises in the area.

Use a travel agent. While it's certainly possible to book online, you're better off using an experienced agent for a number of reasons. Firstly, a travel agent specializing in Mediterranean tours will know which providers are the best in class (no "three hour tours" here!). Secondly, travel agents have access to negotiated rates with cruise lines, and they can pass these savings on to you (though you should expect they will mark up the price to earn their share).

Mini Cruises Are High Value. While you will generally spend less per day by traveling slowly, short term mini cruises cost the same per day as their longer counterparts. A general base price is $330 for a three night mini cruise along Bodrum. Keep in mind these are not for private charters, so there will be others sharing the vessel with (hopefully more Mary Anns than Gingers - sorry, couldn't resist).
