Located in a southwestern Turkey, this beautiful city rests atop dramatic cliff tops overlooking the clear blue Mediterranean Sea. For anyone looking for luxury, Antalya offer some of the finest resort accommodations available in this region. While not as popular as other cruise destinations in Turkey, Antalya cruises, tours and nightlife are not to be missed.

Antalya is a true historical melting pot, featuring architectural works from the Romans, Byzantines and Ottomans.

There are two main areas to stay in Antalya. The first run along the coast line above Lara Beach; these tend to be larger chains such as the Sheraton, which feels more like a resort than merely a hotel. The second area is Kaleici, which is the old center of town. Here, visitors can marvel at the ancient Turkish and Greek houses that run along the winding, cobbled streets. Despite being a heavily touristed area, Kaleici retains much of its ancient old world charm. Walking tours in Antalya can be organized through your hotel. Like many destinations in Turkey, I highly recommend guided tours, as so much of the beauty lies in the history of these destinations.

Antalya cruises, tours and hotel packages are certainly not the cheapest option available in southwestern Turkey, but certainly provide a high amount of value.
