Shop wholesale. Some of the best last-minute bargain travel deals come from wholesalers. You can find wholesalers online by typing in "wholesale flights to" often times, when you talk to a wholesaler on the phone you can ask for a specific route, or better yet, ask them about some of the best deals they have going right now It's important remember that different wholesalers have different agreements with different airlines, so it pays to shop around. This strategy works especially well if you're able to incorporate flexibility; often times wholesalers won't have a good travel deal available last minute for a specific route, but they almost always have a good deal going somewhere.
