How to find the best St. John vacation villa

One of the most beautiful of the US Virgin Islands, St. John is truly a tropical paradise. Here is a review of a wide variety of St John vacation villas  that are available today:

Castle St. John (www.castlestjohn.com) Arguably the best view on the whole island. Careful, this place could spoil you for life. The whole setting is straight out of a fairy tale: it is literally a castle, made of stone boulders with the traditional castle top. Each bedroom is very spacious (one king and one full) that are on opposite sides of the property, both with full bathrooms. The kitchen is very romantic, and the interior walls are also make of stone. On the fifth floor you can play with a giant chess board, or enjoy the view from the piazza (there is also an outdoor shower). Rates go for $1800-2200 per week, depending on the season, and is highly worth it in my opinion.

Cinnamon Bay Campground (www.cinnamonbay.com). If the castle is a little too rich for your blood, cinnamon bay campgrounds provides an affordable vacation alternative. 15 by 15 feet cottages are available, with an outside area. Each cottage includes four twin beds, electricity, picnic table, stove, BBQ, ice chest and utensils.  The price is reasonable, ranging from $77 in the low season to $155 for a beachfront cottage during the high season. They also offer tents as well, with the same amenities as the cottages, though in a smaller (10 by 14) area for $64 per night.

Villa Cielomar (www.villacielomar.com) Similar to the Castle in price, though the experience is very different. Here you can walk to the water from your front door. This spacious two bedroom villa is surrounded by the natural beauty of St. John, and is ideal for a relaxing vacation. The upstairs bedroom has two separate beds, which can be joined together to form a king size if you want. Prices range from $1800-2400 and can comfortably house 4-6 people.

These are just a sample of the st john vacation villa options. Keep in mind most of St. John is a National Park, which tends to drive up costs on the island. Having said that, the beaches are absolutely top notch, and well worth the extra money!
