Lodging at Cincinnati

Lodging at Cincinnati? Read these tips before you go…

From betting on the ponies at River Downs, to watching the BB riverboats just out of town, Cincinnati certainly has a lot to offer travelers. But what if you don’t know where to stay?

Here’s a list of some of the preferred lodging options at Cincinnati…

Garfield Suites Hotel. One of the most preferred hotels in downtown Cincinnati. The real value they provide lies in the unique architecture of the hotel; rather than offer boxed up rooms like most hotels, Garfield Suites offers a multi room lodging experience for a reasonable price. Rooms average around $120 per night, but each room can easily sleep four.

Holiday Inn at Eastgate. I generally advise clients to consider the Garfield first, but if they’re booked up (or the rates are unseasonably high), the Holiday Inn is a great second lodging option. Rooms go for around $100 per night, and while they may not offer the same value as the Garfield, the accommodations here are clean, well maintained and run by a helpful, friendly staff.

Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza. The most expensive option here, but by far the classiest. The building itself was opened in 1931, and carries with it all the charm from another time. You can walk to the adjoining buildings for shopping (over 50 stores, plus downtown’s only food court) either by ground, or the adjoining skywalk. If you are interested in shopping, and like to stay in a place with historical charm, a room at the Hilton is well worth it at $279 a night.

Lodging at Cincinnati varies greatly, which is why I recommend these three over others. They all have a history of providing high value for business and leisure travelers alike.
