Lodging Montauk NY
Travel agent recommendations on the best lodging in Montauk NY
Located north-east of Hither Hills state park just off highway 27, Montauk Beach is a great place to relax for a weekend. There are plenty of lodging options in Montauk, ranging from beachside camping to seven hundred dollar a night hotels overlooking the ocean.
Here is a short sample of several places to stay.
The Panoramic View. The highest end option presented here, with rooms available for roughly seven hundred dollars. This magnificent property is located on a private beach (no high school parties here) with a hillside surrounding the back end. Service is what you would expect it to be (pretty damn good figuring the price) and the front desk was polite and helpful when we checked in.
Montauk Manor. A mid-range hotel, with rooms that are basic , but very clean and well maintained. Excellent views of the ocean are afforded from here, and the staff is friendly (though there have been some negative remarks as of late). Average price for a room is $145 per night, which I feel is a real bargain. The building itself is a beautiful old mansion, which is a great backdrop to the beach.
Royal Atlantic Beach Resort Hotel. Located right along the beach, this resort is also a short walk from the Lighthouse and historic district. The rooms aren’t anything fancy, and the building itself looks like a giant apartment complex. Well, the beach is nice… From personal experience, I would recommend the first two regarding lodging in Montauk, NY.
