Lodging Charlestown, RI
The lowdown on lodging in Charlestown, RI...
There are many lodging options available as you enter Charlestown in rhode island, from simple campsites to classic New England style beach lodging. I have made this trip several times on my way through the northeast, and have always considered this one of my favorites.
Here are some of the lodging highlights, listed in order from least to most expensive:
Willows Motel & Restaurant - 5310 Post Rd.
Tel. 401-364-7727
A very picturesque setting, with a large pond out back. They serve breakfast in the morning, and you can sit outside on the large wooden deck and enjoy the clear coastal air. Highlyl recommended. Rates change throughout the year, so call to check prices for your preferred dates.
King Tom Farm. 4740 Old Post Rd Charlestown, Rhode Island, 02813.
401-364-9535
This farm provides a more rustic (though by no means uncomfortable) experience for your stay. They serve one of the best breakfasts in town!
General Stanton Inn Motel. 115 Old Post Road, # B, Charlestown, Rhode Island, 02813
A classic Victorian style lounge and meeting room await you. A slightly more upscale alternative to the previous motels, this is the place to go to for a classic New England experience.
Nordic Lodge. 178 East Pasquiset Trail, Charlestown, Rhode Island, 02813
The best view of any in town. As you walk out from the beautiful lodge, you’ll be greeted by a large lake, surrounded by overhanging trees and well manicured grass. It features an incredibly high quality buffet, specializing in lobster, crab and other shellfish… though there is plenty of filet mignon for those not interested in seafood. Note: despite its name, the Nordic lodge does not provide rooms. I mention it here because no visit to Charlestown would be complete without dinner here.
