International Hotel Chain Ranking
Make Sure Your International Hotel Chain Gets A High Ranking
Hotel chains are a lot like airlines; the more you use one, the more comfortable you get with them. And the more comfortable you are, the more likely you are to stay with them in the long run. I have stayed in a wide variety of hotel chains, both domestically and internationally, and definitely developed my own personal bias for a chosen few.
In no particular order, here are those fortunate enough to place high on my international hotel chain ranking system:
Embassy Suites. In all honesty, it's hard to beat Embassy Suites for their combination of luxury and value. Not only do you get your own suite for a great price, you also receive free drinks in the lounge between 5-7 on business nights (usually Sun-Thurs) you also get a complimentary breakfast that beats most local restaurants. Highly recommended.
Sofitel. This French hotel chain has always surpassed my expectations. With modern European style, Sofitel hotels are an elegant way to see Paris. I always stay here when traveling through France.
Ritz Carlton. The premier brand of Marriot Hotels has earned its reputation as a laid back high class service hotel. Not only does their staff bend over backwards to assist you with travel plans, they offer some of the finest dining wherever they are located.
It is important to realize this is a highly subjective ranking of international hotel chains, but after traveling for the majority of my life I can honestly say that these are the places where my head is most likely to lay.
