After staying in Budapest with my best friend, Mercedes, for three weeks, the international city became one of my favorite destinations in the world.  From a towering Citadel that watches over the city to the cobblestone paths that lead to tasty restaurants and shopping, Budapest is a travelers dream. 

Budapest is the capitol of Hungary and is divided by the Danube River with Buda on the right bank and Pest on the left bank. 

In recent years, Budapest discovered the largest thermal water cave system which is a bit ironic as the Romans build magnificent bath houses with heated floors hundreds of years prior.  The water has rich minerals, is about 45-75 degrees Celsius, and has made Budapest the capital of medicinal bathing. 

If you’re looking to lounge in a pool, you’ll want to be sure to travel during the right season as winters can be pretty brutal.  The best time of year to travel is late Spring or Early Fall.  Summers are hot but bearable.

2. Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget : This is resort has a number of pools ranging from medicinal to exercise pools.  With over six pools, you’ll surely find what your looking for.
   
3. Danubius Health Spa Resort Helia: This resort is similar to the Danubius Health Spa Margitsziget with multiple pools to satisfy your dipping desires. 
   
4. Corinthia Aquincum Hotel: This hotel was built in the 1990s and uses Budapest’s thermal waters just as the other hotels listed.  There are three pools for your pleasure. 
   
5. Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal:  This is the new hotel in Budapest and is located in the city center.  When building the hotel, developers discovered another underground spring that is used in the hotel’s spa and pools today.
